I don't understand why he insists on saying that the rice crisis is less important, even bordering on saying that it is all a political ploy used to distract the people from unraveling the truth. I believe in the search for truth but, I mean saying that subsistence should take a back seat and that the whole crisis a ploy is dumbfounding. Even though I'm a lowly teen, I do watch CNN and I am fully aware of the WORLD food crisis...and it's adverse effect on the largest importer of rice in Asia...

[...] Jun Lozada made a plea not to let the rice crisis distract us from pursuing the truth about the NBN-ZTE scandal. Said he: The pieces that complete the NBN-ZTE picture have not surfaced yet. It would really be dangerous for the Filipino people to distract themselves from the real issue of corruption.
Whatever his past or character before he made these expositions, I'm sure he's no longer the Jun Lozada before. These kind of person deserves a lot of support. That's all I wanna say.

To Nong Lapuz: I agree, the bigger issue is corruption in the scale of billions. We have to remain vigilant.

To Batang Buotan: Continue being good.

To Nina: Keep on asking questions, as that's the first step in informing yourself about the issues and events which, like it or not, will affect all of us. You made my point exactly. Lozada's petty tantrums and whining, for example about not having a priest to say mass in Cebu, diverts us from the larger issues and makes him all that much less effective and credible as a witness against the perceived evils of GMA.It turns out it wasn't true, and there were scores of priests in Cebu ready to say mass. Thanks for dropping by.

After Lozada's visit to Cebu, I realize that his agenda is not just to tell the "truth" but to attract the fanatics. He is not only think before he said opinions but he also careless in entering into different territories. He must learn to realize not all Filipinos can be deceived by propaganda.

shoot the messenger not the message or shoot the message not the messenger depending on the spin you weave...
the bigger issue is corruption in the scale of billions and the territorial domains of the philippines sparked by the revelations of Lozada (if you agree??).. why not look into it using your investigative skill as a lawyer..this seemed to be your domain not politicking...is there is an iota of truth about it....nothing to lose but future of our nation..is there a smoke with the resultant fire or a smokescreen killing the fire..as accountants we concentrate on the materiality of transactions on on the petty and sultry likes of Lozada...

I have to admit that I never really followed this whole ZTE drama, so pardon me if I sound terribly naive.

Why does Jun Lozada have to go on this nationwide tour like some celebrity promoting a movie or a show? And why does he have to have a mass sponsored in every province he visits? Last I saw in the news, he was expressing his dismay that no priest wants to hold a mass for him in Cebu.

That really stumped me -- I can't really grasp how that figures into the whole whistleblowing thing.
